The network's website is currently located at http://www.animefanlistings.org. Demon Hand is the fanlisting for the anime and manga series Jigoku Sensei Nube, also known as Hell Teacher Nube. It has been online since 19 May 2010. Site name was derived from Nube's (the hero) most distinct supernatural characteristic--his left hand is possessed by a demon. Thus, Nube has a demon hand which he, ironically, uses for good. JIGOKU SENSEI NUBE Thanks to Animetric.com! "He's an educator, an exorcist and a regular guy all rolled into one!" Nueno Mesuke, better known as Nube, is a school teacher who does more than just teach. Nube's left hand is a huge, nasty-looking demon's claw. He uses it to get rid of malicious demons, ghosts, spirits and other supernatural beings that are giving his students and the townspeople a hard time. Nube's left hand was normal before, until one fateful day when he exorcised an extremely powerful demon from a child. He was, unfortunately, outmatched and thereby lost his left hand. The only way to fight the demon was to let it enter his body. As a result, Nube has a demonic left hand where his own hand used to be. To educate and protect--that's what Jigoku Sensei Nube does. Other characters include the two women in Nube's life--Yukime, an ice maiden once rescued by Nube who eventually fell madly in love with him, and Ritsuko-sensei, his longtime crush and fellow teacher at Domori Elementary School--and a slew of elementary-school children who Nube has to rescue from various supernatural beings in the course of the series. Nube's arch-rival is the handsome, dangerous and formidable fox-demon Tamamo. The series originally ran for 31 manga volumes. It was later adopted into an anime television series which has 48 episodes. There is also a Jigoku Sensei Nube movie. V.1.RAGE BURNING The first version of Demon Hand features two images of Sensei Nube. The one on the foreground is of him "activating" the powers of his left hand. It was superimposed on an anime cel wherein Nube is in a fit of battle rage, hair askew, clothes torn and powers quite unstoppable. Version name was inspired by the high emotions of Nube, thus it is "rage burning." Overall design scheme is based on, of course, fire.
